Happy Halloween, Pumpkin!

Around Halloween we see all sorts of Pumpkins that range from cute to scary. Here is a collection of dental related pumpkins...some of which made our teeth chatter!

This pumpkin takes flossing to a whole new level...

Glow in the dark teeth make for some fun monster pumpkins!

This pumpkin is glad to see that his patient likes to floss.

If you brush your teeth, they'll be sure to glow!

Could your pumpkin benefit from braces?
(Thanks to Tony Woodstock who shared this picture with us on our Facebook page!)

Raise your hands if you like clean teeth!

Happy pumpkin carving and tooth brushing from Dental Health Associates!

The Scary Tooth

Did you know that 42% of kids ages 8-13 say they’re worried about getting cavities from eating too much Halloween candy? You may not be able to curb all their fears tonight, but at least prevent the fear of cavities. Even if you've had a late night, take the extra two minutes to brush your teeth!

Those of you without kids aren't off the hook - don't let plaque haunt your mouth! Did you know that the American Dental Association recommends you:
  • Brush your teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled brush. The size and shape of your brush should fit your mouth allowing you to reach all areas easily.
  • Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed.  A worn toothbrush won't do a good job of cleaning your teeth.
  • Make sure to use an ADA-accepted fluoride toothpaste.
Enjoy the candy, and please have a safe and Happy Halloween!

Worried you'll have disappointed trick-or-treaters and you'll lose your status of best candy house on the block? Buy the bowl of traditional Halloween candy and give kids the option: a piece of candy or a free video game? Either way, they're sure to walk away happy!
